pawl stores timer state and preferences on your mac, including optional names, pomodoro settings, your selected paw, appearance, time display, pull sensitivity, and onboarding state. pawl has no server copy.

pawl keeps focus data on your mac. the website uses no ads or crash reporting. it sends limited, pseudonymous event data to an analytics service for pageview, download, checkout, and purchase analytics. events contain page language, page path, product or release details, and masked interface interactions; they do not contain your name, email, payment details, or focus data. direct-sale features connect only for sign-in, purchase claims, restores, signed updates, and optional in-app feedback; service providers may process basic request data.

direct-sale sign-in uses your email with our account service. payment and licensing services verify purchases and help manage device access. pawl stores a signed perpetual receipt on your mac, never raw license keys or full payment details. each purchase can be used on up to three active devices; pawl stores only the limited data needed to manage them. refunds block future restores and updates but do not revoke existing receipts.

the website uses limited event analytics. it records pageviews, selected interface interactions, download starts, checkout starts, confirmed purchases, waitlist actions, and account or device actions. text and element attributes are masked; session recordings are disabled. the analytics service may store a pseudonymous browser identifier and basic request data. the website uses no advertising cookies. the waitlist collects only your email and uses it to send launch and update notices. in-app feedback and support messages (including optional reply email plus app version, build, macOS version, distribution, and language) are stored only to reply and improve pawl. you can also email hey@pawl.cat.

local data stays on your mac until you clear pawl’s preferences and app container. account, purchase, receipt, waitlist, feedback, and support records stay only as needed for service, security, accounting, or law. request deletion from the same email; legally required records may remain.
